  1. Eucalyptus 1.0 - Translator Notes

  4. In the CT directory, there are now both the .ct and .cd files.  If you just
  5. want to translate, use ONLY the .ct file.  It has blank lines for you to fill
  6. in the translated text.  Then you can just send if off to me, and I'll include
  7. it in the next release.

  9. *** NOTE: Make sure that the version number (on the line '## version') is set
  10. to 100.  Also, make sure you put the language to which you're translating
  11. on the line that starts '## language'.
  12.  
  13. If you want to compile the .catalog file to test it, that's a little bit more
  14. involved.  Here's what you do:
  15.  
  16. 1. Put the translations into the .ct like normal.  DO NOT alter the .cd file
  17. in any way.
  18.  
  19. 2. Get the program FlexCat from Aminet.
  20.  
  21. 3. Type this in at a shell prompt:
  22.  
  23.      FlexCat Eucalyptus.cd Eucalyptus.ct CATALOG Eucalyptus.catalog
  24.  
  25.    This should create the .catalog file.
  26.  
  27. 4. Put the .catalog file in "LOCALE:Catalogs/<language>".  Then you can test
  28. it out with Eucalyptus.
  29.  
  30. Let me know if it doesn't work, or if the translation strings come out wrong
  31. or mixed up or something like that.
